🔎 IT’S A MYSTERY

A New Mystery Every Saturday!

THIS WEEK’S MYSTERY

🔎 THE THIRTEENTH GUEST

Twelve guests attended millionaire Arthur Whitcomb’s dinner party.

Detective Harrison questioned three suspects.

The Butler: “I spent the evening serving dinner. Nobody entered the study.”
The Secretary: “I was outside making a telephone call.”
The Business Partner: “I was playing billiards with two guests.”
Harrison noticed something peculiar. Thirteen places had been set at the dining table, and all thirteen plates had been used.
“An unexpected guest?” he asked.
“No,” replied Whitcomb. “I personally greeted all twelve.”
Harrison studied the seating chart. Twelve names appeared. Then he noticed the thirteenth chair, positioned at the head of the table.
Suddenly, he smiled.
THE QUESTION: Who was the thirteenth person at dinner?
